AWP Windows and Doors, which serves the South and Central Florida window market, offers everything from aluminium and vinyl impact windows to residential sliding doors has been sold by Trulite to Deerpath Holdings.
AWP Windows and Doors, based in Medley, Fla., now has a new owner as Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions LLC has sold the company to Deerpath Holdings, Lake Forest, Ill. AWP, which serves the South and Central Florida window market, offers everything from aluminium and vinyl impact windows to residential sliding doors.
“We are delighted with the acquisition of AWP,” said Craig Speed, CEO of Deerpath Holdings. “AWP’s expertise in impact-resistant windows distinguishes the company as a market leader in South Florida. We look forward to continuing to expand AWP’s presence in the market through product line growth and geographical expansion.”
DWM spoke to Joe Escribano, general manager, AWP, today who added that Deerpath “brings expertise to the operation that can help us grow.”
According to the Deerpath website, “Deerpath applies a private equity approach to credit investments, with a specialty focus in key industry sectors (communications, energy/natural resources and health care) as well as general capabilities across a broad range of manufacturing and services industries.”
Escribano added that the South Florida market is expanding and there is a lot of opportunity for continued growth.
“AWP already has a large footprint in the Central and South Florida markets,” he said. “Our strategic plan is to continue to grow in Florida, Alabama, Carolinas, etc. With their understanding of the industry we can accomplish these goals.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Deerpath Holdings,” said Trulite CEO Paul Schmitz. “This will allow Trulite to continue focusing on its core competencies while allowing AWP to grow under its new owner.”
