Truseal Technologies, Inc., a world leader in warm edge spacer systems for insulating glass (IG), is celebrating its 10th year as an ENERGY STAR(R) partner. Truseal started its partnership with ENERGY STAR in 1998, the first year window components were recognized as a category in the program. Being an ENERGY STAR partner complements Truseal“s efforts to promote energy efficiency in its product offering. Truseal promotes ENERGY STAR fundamentals through the company“s Envirosealed Windows(TM) campaign. Envirosealed Windows feature low window U-values, which leads to energy savings and reduced CO2 emissions. Such benefits align with the ENERGY STAR principles of protecting the environment and saving money through energy-efficient products and practices. Truseal has also taken a lead role in educating the industry about future ENERGY STAR ratings. Truseal“s booth at GlassBuild America 2008 featured Envirosealed Windows made with Truseal“s Duralite(R) warm edge spacers and showcased how the windows met or exceeded proposed ENERGY STAR criteria for 2009 and 2013. Duralite is part of Truseal“s Dura Platform spacer systems and offers the lowest U-value rating compared with other spacers. “We“re proud to announce that Truseal has been an ENERGY STAR partner for a decade. The partnership has helped Truseal maintain its leadership position in providing the most energyefficient spacers to the window industry”, said Ric Jackson, director of marketing and business development, Truseal Technologies. “More than ever before, today“s homeowners are concerned about energy savings. Both the ENERGY STAR and Envirosealed Windows programs speak directly to homeowners“ wishes and help families make smart choices for improving energy efficiency in their homes”.
