According to figures from the Ukrainian State Statistics Committee for production of float glass and sheet glass with a smooth or polished surface, output of the material rose in January 2005 by 10% to 1.4 million square meters, compared to January 2004. In December 2004, production of the material fell by 6.8% year-on-year to 1.4 million square meters. For all of 2004, production increased 17.6% compared to 2003, to 16.7 million square meters.
