After a period of no change from September to October, and a 0.2% increase from August to September, flat glass prices saw a minor drop from October to November 2012, according to the latest Producer Price Index Report from the US Labor Department.
Flat glass prices saw a minor drop – just 0.1% – from October to November 2012, according to the latest Producer Price Index Report from the US Labor Department.
This follows a period of no changes from September to October, and a 0.2% increase from August to September.
While flat glass prices dropped, the cost of construction materials rose 0.1% from October November – following a 0.1% increase September to October and a 0.3% increase for August to September.
The import price for glass and glassware increased 0.2% from October to November, according to the November Import and Export Price Indexes. The export price for the same increased 0.1% from October to November.
Glass and glassware includes float glass, safety glass, lab glass and a range of other glass products, according to information from the International Price Program office in Washington, D.C.
