Valspar has announced significant price increases in Mirror Coatings in most of its product lines and all regions. Valspar provides coatings that protect the contents of containers, making products last longer and brands stay stronger.
“After many years of prices erosion not fully compensated by productivity and after a period where raw material inflation has continued to hit the industry, margins have slowly eroded to a point where we need to pass on some pricing to our customers. We definitely believe that the value that our Mirror Coatings supply to the mirror manufacturers is no longer represented by the current market prices,” commented Michael Seidler, Global Mirror Coatings Business Director for Valspar.
