Vidrala, one of Europe’s leading glass producers, in March 2022 revealed the construction of a solar photovoltaic power generation plant, to be used for consumption in the industrial process, partially substituting fossil and electrical energy from the grid.
Vidrala is now proud to announce that the installation of the photovoltaic plant, the largest solar project in the glass industry in Spain, will begin soon its electrification.
The facility, located at the Crisnova plant in Caudete, Castilla La Mancha, Spain, has a capacity of 12 MW using cutting-edge ground-based technology. The project is part of Vidrala’s sustainability and energy efficiency strategy and is a clear demonstration of its commitment to the environment and to the communities where the group operates.
