The dates for Vitrum 2011 26-29 October were announced at glasstec in autumn 2010 and, thanks to encouraging signs from the marketplace, the fair is on the way to becoming an interesting expo, with the latest inventions and events on show. Markets are picking up emerging countries are driving the global recovery; even the US is showing signs of renewed vigour, while Europe, although slowly and unevenly, is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Vitrum will also be the showcase for the best of Made in Italy, a reality that is preparing for a year of considerable growth around the world. Demand for Italian technology has taken off with a vengeance and manufacturers are pondering major investment plans that will enable them to demonstrate their technological leadership. The organization of Vitrum is also keeping pace with progress, with the aim of simplifying the life of visitors from around the world and making their stay in Italy more pleasant. Starting this year, participants will be able to register on line and obtain accreditation immediately along with their own code to facilitate entrance procedures to the fairgrounds and avoid long waits in line. Once registered, visitors will also be able to buy a personalized travel and hotel package.
