Despite the current extremely uncertain supply and cost situation on the energy market, Wiegand-Glas management decided to start up the second furnace in the new glass plant in Thuringia.
This is a sign the company is convinced that working together with its customers, business partners and employees, it’s possible overcome this currently difficult situation.
In January, Wiegand-Glas postponed start of production in the Schleusingen plant, mentioning exploding prices for energy and raw materials and sickness rates (COVID related) between the workforce.
