Windorex + Glass & Aluminium Oman 2018 will take place 7-9 May
Windorex + Glass & Aluminium Oman is the Sultanate’s definitive trade expo spotlighting the burgeoning fenestration and façade segments of the construction sector. The third edition of this international event seeks to build on the overwhelming success of the previous version attracting 5,400+ industry professionals.
The third edition of Oman’s biggest expo for windows, doors, glass, aluminium, façades and sun protection systems – Windorex + Glass & Aluminium Oman – will take place 7-9 May at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Muscat, with more than 130 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors expected.
The three-day expo will be the central meeting place for global manufacturers and distributors of window, door, glass, aluminium and façade products to network and develop business leads with the buyers of construction products. The international and regional exhibitors alike will be showcasing trends and opportunities in the rapidly growing fenestrations and façades industry.
The event is expected to ‘unlock projects worth billions of dollars’ in Oman’s construction sector. The country’s construction sector remains robust, despite the downside risk created by lower oil prices, with the Oman construction sector worth USD 6 billion in 2018.
In 2016, out of the top 100 projects in the GCC, 2.4% were in Oman with a total value of USD 29.6 billion. Moreover, the ninth five-year plan has earmarked an annual allocation of USD 6.5 billion for the construction sector, which is expected to clock up a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 7.6% between 2014 and 2019.
