XYG Glass, the marketing arm of solar glass manufacturing company Xinyi Glass, has announced that it has expanded its solar glass manufacturing. Xinyi Glass currently uses its three solar glass manufacturing facilities located at Tianjin, Wuhu and Dongguan, along with four dedicated lines for the production of solar glass. The current output of 2GW PV module manufacturing will be increased to more than 4.5GW by the end of 2010. Xinyi Glass also offers more than 10 float glass lines for back glass for PV modules as well as a series of solar glass products. Low iron pattern glass from Xinyi provides 91% solar transmittance and is available in Matt/Matt (Smooth) surface and Prismatic/Matt (Stipple) patterns. The glass is available in 3.2mm or 4.0mm thicknesses and in 2,200mm x 3,300mm and 1,600mm x 2100mm sizes for annealed and tempered glass respectively. Xinyi“s AR coated solar glass with improved solar transmittance has special features such as high solar transmittance, durability, abrasion and chemical resistance and self-cleaning facility. It is available in a maximum size of 1,600mm x 2,100mm and 3.2mm and 4.0mm thicknesses. Xinyi Glass also offers TCO Glass for thin film PV modules and clear tempered back glass with good flatness. All Xinyi“s solar glass products comply with ISO 9001, ISO 9050, ANSI Z97.1, CPSC 16CFR 1201, EN12150, ASTM C1048 standards and certification.
